Director of Information Technology

Full Time

Our client is looking for a Director of IT to lead our team of Network, IT, Security and DevOps professionals, and to support growth in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment handling multiple responsibilities.

Primary Responsibilities:

• The Director of IT will lead and direct cross-functional teams of technical experts
• Maintain our existing network, including:
  • Connections to all major US Mobile Carriers: MPLS, Point-to-Point & VPN
  • Complex traffic shaping, rate limiting, security and filtering
  • RADIUS & DIAMETER traffic
• The Director of IT will maintain our existing platforms, including:
  • AWS environments – existing & migration of physical environments
  • System Administration
  • Monitoring tools
• The Director of IT will design, implement and deliver infrastructure solutions including:
  • Definition of scope
  • Project planning
  • Scheduling & prioritization
  • Contingency and risk planning
  • Work assignments and personnel.
• The Director of IT will manage all aspects of Information Security, including:
  • Network Security & Borders defense
  • Compliance (PCI, SOC, etc) policies and procedures
  • IPS/IDS implementation and on-going maintenance
  • Audit trails, Backups & Disaster Recovery
• Identify and implement process improvements
• Manage multiple vendors relationships
• Inventory, licenses and procurement

Qualifications:

• 15+ years of technology development and management
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering/Computer Science/equivalent work experience
• Extensive hands-on networking and troubleshooting experience in large, distributed environments
• Extensive knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, Spanning Tree, multicast, VRF, QoS, BGP, OSPF, as well as MPLS connectivity/architecture
• Security principles, certification requirements and processes
• AWS Architecture and security
• Planning, organization, professionalism
• Willingness to work in an unstructured environment
• Clear communication at all levels
